Takehiro Kasahara, DMD, PhD
Board Certified in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
Takehiro Kasahara, DMD, PhD, graduated from the Tohoku University School of Dentistry in Japan in 1995 whereby he earned his DDS. He went on to study oral and maxillofacial surgery at the Graduated School of Tohoku University. He completed the program and received his PhD in 1999. From there, Dr. Kasahara began studies at the University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine, in 2001.He graduated in 2003 with the title DMD.
Upon graduation, Dr. Kasahara accepted a residency program of oral and maxillofacial surgery at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey. Completion of the residency in 2007 granted Dr. Kasahara the status as an official oral and maxillofacial surgeon. He then accepted a fellowship for facial reconstruction at St. John’s Mercy Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri, in 2009, and completed the fellowship the following year. He earned Board Certification in oral and maxillofacial surgery in 2011.
After receiving Board Certification, Dr. Kasahara accepted a position as an attending physician at St. Luke-Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York, New York.
